The LodgeWhite Sand Villas provides a variety of locations for guests to dine or have a cocktail, with 2 onsite restaurants and 3 bars. The main dining room and lounge are located on the lower floor and in keeping with the residential villas, are stylish and bright featuring light wood paneling and adorned with driftwood sculptures. On the upper floor is a champagne bar where guests can relax and watch the sunset. Below the bar and restaurant is a substantial swimming pool bordered by wooden decking equipped with sun-loungers.
The hotel also provides a relaxing spa, steam-room and sauna and offers a range of treatments using locally sourced seaweed products. The spa itself is alongside a waterfall set amongst tropical foliage and flowers, creating a truly idyllic retreat. As environmental sustainability is a priority of the hotel, they employ solar panels and water harvesting, grown fresh produce onsite and use locally sourced materials throughout the property. |

AccommodationWhite Sand Villas offers a range of accommodation including 5 one-bedroom villas, 5 two-bedroom villas, one 5 bedroom ‘Presidential Villa,’ and 3 ‘Cinnamon Rooms.’ Deluxe Rooms can be booked individually within the larger villas when available. All accommodation is air-conditioned and equipped with wifi, large-screen TVs, and coffee makers. The villas are expertly designed in light wood and employing the clean lines associated with Scandanavian minimalism. Décor is largely neutral, interspersed with local woven rugs, desks and comfortable seating. The en-suite bathrooms have gorgeous rainwater showers and twin basins. Additionally, the residences offer both a bathtub and outdoor shower encircled by tropical flowers and palm trees.
The rooms are situated in different areas of the property with some set further back in the tropical gardens while the one bedrooms villas are scattered in front of the beach offering private beach access. Each of which is a two building property, which is truly spacious and enjoys its own dedicated garden area, rooftop terrace, plunge pool, sun-loungers and hammocks. |

Activities and AdventuresWhilst the focus of White Sand is upon relaxation, with its swimming pool and available spa treatments, for the more adventurous guests, there is an in-house kite surfing club catering for the novice to the expert. Additionally, guests may hire paddleboards and kayaks from the watersports centre. Activities also included are bike riding and table-tennis.
The hotel can arrange a number of excursions for guests including trips to Stone Town, scuba diving trips, spice farm tours and dhow boat cruises. |
