The LodgeThe lodge offers endless views of the vast Serengeti grassy plains and as the closest lodge is nearly an hour’s drive away, one can relish this view in peace and tranquility. The main tent is a spacious structure, open on one side with a canvas awning to provide shade, while allowing the cool breeze to sweep through it. It is elegantly decorated with a contemporary flair and provides a lounge and bar area for guests to relax. The lodge has a very social feel to it and includes communal dinners with other guests, managers and guides served under the canopy of stars or in the charming dining tent. In the evening guests can enjoy sitting around an open fire while recounting stories of their days adventures next to an iconic acacia tree adorned with lanterns.

AccommodationNamiri plains is an intimate camp with only 10 tented suites, including a family tent. Each tented suite offers panoramic views of the surrounding plains and is strategically situated to ensure the utmost privacy. The generous suites have sliding doors fitted across the front deck, in both the bedroom and luxurious ensuite, enabling guests to enjoy the wildlife beyond. The decks that run along the front have a comfortable seating area where guests can unwind while enjoying their morning coffee or evening sundowner. The ensuite bathroom's sliding door leads to a large bath tub on the deck; discretely protected by the canvas awning that covers the tents. The newly designed tents are glamorous and modern but the use of locally sourced, natural and eco-friendly material throughout allow these unique suites to compliment the surrounding wilderness.

Activities and AdventuresNamiri, meaning 'big cat' in Swahili, is certainly a fitting name for this area, as it's known for its high number of lion, cheetah and leopard sightings. From October-May with the rain comes the natural spectacle of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Depending on the rainfall, guests may generally expect to see thousands of wildebeest and other species congregating in the area to graze the nutrient rich land of the Namiri Plains. Game drives are usually conducted in the "Soit Le Motonyi" area which is far quieter in terms of tourists, than the Seronera location which is also accessible from the lodge. Bush breakfasts, picnics and dinners may be organised, as well as walking safaris and guests are given the unusual opportunity to meet with Cheetah researchers and learn about the vital work they do in the area. Hot air balloon safaris may also be organised, at an additional cost, which provides a unique perspective whilst enjoying a romantic excursion.
