Detailed ItineraryDay 1: Slipway Hotel - Dar Es Salaam
(1 Night - Executive Sea View Suite: Bed & Breakfast) After you arrival in Dar Es Salaam you'll be picked up at the airport and driven to the Slipway Hotel where you can relax and enjoy the sea views from the hotel's spacious swimming pool. Enjoy the walking through the souvenir shops and dine at one of the excellent seaside restaurants below the hotel. |
Days 2 - 5: Siwandu Camp - Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous)
(3 Nights - Tented Room: All-inclusive + Game Package) This morning you'll fly by light aircraft to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous) to the exclusive Siwandu camp sitatuated on the shores of Lake Nzerakera. Siwandu is reminiscent of an old world safari era and offers an impressive range of activities, a highlight of which being the marvellous boat safaris across the adjacent lake. The tents offer magnificent views of the lake beyond from their spacious private verandas, all of which are tastefully furnished, with large ensuites, and exceptional outdoor showers. |
Days 5 - 7: Jongomero Camp - Ruaha National Park
(2 Nights - Tented Room: All-inclusive + Game Package) Jongomero camp is located in the secluded Ruaha National Park where game is plentiful and humans are scarce. The lodge is situated on the Jongomero river which only flows for part of the year and otherwise serves as a clear pathway for animals to cross that can be viewed from the swimming pool, main area and all 8 of the tents. Built from wood and thatched palm leaves, with canvas lining, the tents are spacious and elegant, offering privacy and comfort within traditional surroundings. |
Days 7-12: Fanjove Private Island Lodge
(5 Nights - Beach Banda: Full Board) This barefoot chic located on a remote private island off the coast of Tanzania comprises of the main area and 6 spacious eco-bandas spread out along the beach, allowing you to enjoy the sensation of being alone on a deserted tropical island. The waters are inhabited by an enormous diversity of marine life and the lodge offers a wide variety of activities for guests to explore this unique ecosystem. |
Transfer InformationAs the name suggests, Fly-In Safaris involve light aircraft flights to remote areas that are difficult or impossible to reach by vehicle. To make your journey as comfortable and time-saving as possible, you will be flown to your safari destinations - in Nyerere and Ruaha National Parks. After landing, you will be met by a staff member of the respective camp and transferred to your accommodation. Game drives in a fully open safari vehicle and other safari acitivites will be conducted daily from the camps.
To reach your final destination Fanjove Private Island, you will fly to a close by island, followed by a short boat ride to this isolated paradise. |
