The HotelThe main pool bar and restaurant is built in traditional Swahili fashion, with palm thatched roofs and white washed walls, with a hint of the Arabic elegance for which Zanzibar is renowned. The generous pool is situated in the middle of the grounds with a surfeit of loungers around for the few guests they accommodate. The Plantation House, which comprises of the main lounge/bar and dining area is an elegant structure adorned with a thatched roof, French windows and carved wooden furniture. The Palms offers guests an outstanding dining experience with plenty of fresh seafood, fruits and exotic spices. The service is attentive and accommodating, and due to the small size of the property, very personal. An array of cocktails and wines can be enjoyed at one of the bars, or in your personal beach banda.

AccommodationThe 6 spacious villas boast a rustic exterior with thatched roofs, dark wooden beams and whitewashed walls, with elegant interiors equipped with all modcons. Inside, the villas provide a large bed, and comfortable lounge area with Satellite TV & DVD player, wifi, minibar, safety deposit box, air-conditioning, and tea and coffee making facilities. All villas have an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub, an additional ensuite room and outside all are equipped with a veranda including a day bed and a private plunge pool. All guests have exclusive access to a private banda on the beach with day beds to relax.

Activities and AdventuresThere are a wide variety of water sports and activities available at the watersport center and dive center (Padi 5*) on the beach next door, at its' sister property Breezes Beach Club. There is a small beachside spa where guests can choose from a number of treatments, or should they wish, they can venture to either of the larger sister properties next door where guests are given access to the services, restaurants and bars. In addition, the Palms offers a variety of cultural activities for those interested in learning about the rich Zanzibar culture. Cooking classes, palm leaf weaving, dhow boat rides, and village trips are just a few of the many ways you can become immersed in the way of life of this remarkable island. Private beach dining or evening cocktails can be arranged as well!
