Kuro Camp - Tarangire National ParkMost lodges in the ‘Tarangire’ region are situated outside the national park, however, this fantastic, relatively new camp is in the center of the park, an area with an abundance of game yet very secluded. Owned and run by Nomad, known for some of the best lodges in Tanzania, this small lodge benefits from a unique location, close to the stunning Silale Swamp, with excellent guiding, game viewing and service. Although Tarangire is not one of the better known regions, it is well worth the journey, with huge herds of elephants, endless baobabs, a wide variety of activities on offer, and very few visitors.

The LodgeThe main area is a thatch roof structure that is separated into a dining and lounge area with a veranda along the outside where guests can also enjoy their meals. Dinner is usually served communally, set up under the stars where guests can hear the sounds of the bush while recounting their daily safari highlights. This camp has one of the warmest and most welcoming atmospheres around and the service and hosting is exceptional. As with all Nomad properties the lodge is stylish but understated and in keeping with its surroundings while also striving to create as small an environmental footprint as possible. Rustic wooden furniture, neutral colours and charming special touches make this property feel comfortable, yet timeless within this untamed wilderness.
