The LodgeThe Serian North and South camp is the same property that is packed up and moved once a year within the Serengeti in order to follow the Great Wildebeest Migration. From mid-June to mid-November its located just south of the Mara river in order to afford guests the opportunity to see a river crossing. From mid-December to the beginning of May it resides in the short grass plains of the south of the Serengeti where guests can witness the wildebeest migration calving season.The Serengeti Mobile Camp Lamai is located close to the Northern camp just north of the river and is open from mid-June to mid-November.
The camps have a relaxed atmosphere with their rustic charm and style. The hosting, service and food are excellent and the whole team really go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay for all of their guests. Sitting around the fire in the evening regaling stories of the days adventures with the manager, guides and other guests is always a highlight! |

AccommodationThe Serian North and South camps have 8 simple but elegant tents with en-suites providing flush toilets and hot bucket showers. Serengeti Mobile Camp Lamai, with only 4 standard tents and 2 suites, this is a great option for groups who would like to exclusively take over the camp. The tents are comfortable and tastefully decorated and provide the perfect retreat in which to recover from the days adventures.

Activities and AdventuresOne of the many excellent features of the Alex Walker camps is that private vehicles are provided for each couple or group at no additional cost. This affords guests complete flexibility with their activities, should they wish to spend the entire day watching a wildebeest river crossing, or rest and recover in the afternoon, although guests are encouraged to enjoy time in the bush whenever possible by these bush enthusiasts!
The walking safaris offered are really some of the best in Tanzania due to the impressive knowledge and comprehensive experience of the guides. They also offer photography workshops for guests looking for improve their skills and learn from the best. Adventure Fly camping is available in the South of the Serengeti and can be incorporated into guest stays at the Serian South camp should they wish to partake for a night or two. Spend the days walking and exploring and the nights sleeping in a basic tent for the ultimate bush experience! |
