Breezes Beach Club & Spa - Zanzibar IslandBreezes Beach Club, located on the white sand beaches of the east coast of Zanzibar, is an excellent family beach destination, offering great value. With 75 rooms, it is comparatively large; however, the warmth and attention provided by the staff and management creates the atmosphere of a hotel smaller in size. The rustic thatched palm structures and well thought out decorative touches lend the property a charm which enhances the welcoming feel. There are host of activities and facilities offered to suit both couples and families; however, we recommend couples seeking a more private remote beach getaway might want to consider either Zawadi Hotel or The Palms, also owned by the Zanzibar Collection, and located very close by.

The HotelThe main areas of the hotel, located close to the beach, are strategically spread out so that no area ever seems busy. There is a large swimming pool and a variety of restaurants and bars for guests to choose from; the main restaurant for dinner is a spacious open sided structure with a traditional palm thatched roof. The hotel offers romantic private dinner options for couples that can be arranged in advance. The service is very attentive and professional and the food is excellent, with a large breakfast buffet and a delicious set menu dinner. Food is included in the price of the room rate, however, drinks come at an additional cost.

AccommodationThe main areas of the hotel are within close proximity of the beach with most of the accommodation set back within the grounds of property. There are 72 rooms in total, with the options of standard rooms, deluxe rooms and suites, all of which are located within several large bungalows. The standard and deluxe rooms are located on the ground floor and are identical in their interiors, with double beds, en-suite bathrooms, a sofa and a terrace; however the standard rooms are set further back from the sea. The suites are located on the top floor of the bungalows and have more spacious bathrooms and larger terrace with sun loungers and a covered lounge area.

Activities and AdventuresBreezes offers a Watersports Club and Diving center Padi 5, so guests have a host of activities and excursions to chose from. The luxurious Frangipani spa offers a wide range of treatments and is elegantly decorated to create a wonderfully relaxing environment. There is a tennis court, a gym, the option to take part in yoga classes, or take part in one of their cultural excursions; such as the traditional art of palm leaf weaving.
