Singita Faru Faru Lodge - Grumeti Reserve, Serengeti National Park“Faru Faru”, meaning rhino in Swahili, is one of Tanzania’s most exclusive and luxurious safari lodges. The LodgeThe communal area of the lodge enjoys views over a swimming-pool and a watering hole, which attracts a wide variety of species. Multiple chic relaxation areas offer privacy for romantic dining and the lodge boasts both a bar and library offering comfortable sofas. The area also enjoys internet connectivity and a printer together with satellite television and a small shop offering traditional African crafts and jewellery. Adjacent to the dining area is a second swimming pool with wooden decking and a sand beach theme. The lodge’s interior is comfortably furnished, stone floored complimented by rock strewn walls beneath a canvas roof with views across the bush. The luxurious facilities at Faru Faru also include a fitness centre and spa.

AccommodationFaru Faru offers nine modern and spacious suites, including 1 family suite, and 1 two bedroom suite with a private pool. All suites are glass fronted, affording spectacular views over the river, and which, at the touch of a button, can be slid open. Each is fully air conditioned and is equipped with both indoor and outdoor showers. In the spirit of the rest of the lodge, furnishings reflect a touch of the modern luxurious whilst acknowledging the traditional.

Activities and AdventuresFaru Faru is located within a private park and offers considerable exclusivity with little other traffic and parties to detract from your enjoyment of this magnificent environment. Generally activities are centered around game drives in open sided Land Rovers but if guests enjoy walking, then walking safaris are on offer and during the dry season (July to November), guide accompanied walks along the Grumeti River are well worth experiencing. Faru Faru offers night drives and visits to anti-poaching posts, affording guests the opportunity to learn about the rangers invaluable efforts towards protecting the Serengeti's wildlife. In addition, guests can visit a local village to learn about Tanzanian culture. Hot air balloon rides may be also organised by the lodge!
